Artisan-made specialty coffee, of origin 100% Costa Rica, Los Santos region – Tarrazu. With washing process and Caturra and Catuai varietals. On the palate it feels sweet, fruity, with touches of butter and caramel.
Costa Rican coffee is known for its unique quality and flavor. The 100% of the coffee produced in Costa Rica is of the Arabica species, of the Caturra and Catuaí varieties, which produce a higher quality grain and a cup with better organoleptic characteristics: pleasant, aromatic and fine. Since 1989, the planting of Robusta coffee (NOT Arabica) has been prohibited by law due to its inferior cup quality.
Costa Rican coffee is a culture with a tradition built by centuries of meticulous dedication to details from the selection of seeds to the way it is served and accompanied on the table. Costa Rican coffee is protected under a Protected Geographical Indication which includes all the coffee produced in Costa Rican territory, as well as a Protected Designation of Origin that specifically covers coffee Tarrazu.
